The New Olympic Format for Eventing and the Future of the Sport

The FEI General Assembly last year approved major changes to the Olympic format for eventing, including limiting nations to a three-member team with no drop score. Tune in to hear from the current chair of the FEI Eventing Committee, Giuseppe della Chiesa, on these changes and their intended effects on Olympic participation in eventing from countries around the world. The Event at Rebecca Farm + NAJYRC: A Match Made in Heaven

Which Event Will be Home to the Next U.S. Four-Star?

Five venues in the U.S. put in a bid to be the host of the next CCI4* competition – the second in the U.S. and only the seventh in the world. In January the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Board of Directors has named a short list of host venues for a new CCI4* eventing competition beginning in the autumn of 2019. Two venues have been named to the short list for further consideration:Fair Hill and Great Meadow. Listen in to representatives from Fair Hill and Great Meadow as they share information about their respective venues as we anxiously await the decision.

The Inside Scoop on the USEF Eventing Show Jumping Course Advisor Program

We catch up with Richard Jeffery who is the USEF Eventing Show Jumping Course Advisor about the new program for reviewing the show jumping courses at every FEI competition in the U.S. Course Designers will be asked to submit their courses as posted to Jeffery with all technical details (distance, time allowed, etc.) within five days of the competition. Each course will be posted on the USEF Website with Jeffery's analysis along with a course evaluation completed by the Course Designer prior to the event. Also on the Podcast is course designer, Chris Barnard with his feedback on the program.
