On this podcast, we get some more information on the 2016 USEA Young Event Horse (YEH) 5-year-old Champions of both coasts. Woodford Reserve, An Irish Sport Horse (Tinarana's Inspector x Laharn's Laughton) owned by rider Erin Kellerhouse, took top honors on the west coast, while Foreign Quality, a Dutch Warmblood owned by Marley Stone Bourke and ridden by Tim Bourke, bested the rest on the east coast.

This week on the podcast, we take some time to learn more about the 2016 USEA Future Event Horse (FEH) Champions. The leopard colored Knabstrupper, See Spot Fly, earned the West Coast Championship title. Leslie Asbe's gelding is by Colorado Skrodstrup and out of a TB mare, Djinn Chaser. On the East Coast, Beall Spring Shamrock came home with 3-year-old and overall victory. "Shamrock" is a Swedish Warmblood gelding owned by Stephanie Ormston and bred by Beall Spring Farm who lead the pack from start to finish.

Managing the logistics of traveling and competing is complicated enough, but gets taken to a new level when you factor in overseas travel. Each fall, we see a small group of United States riders head to Europe to challenge themselves in a new competitive environment. Tamra Smith and Holly Payne Caravella both spent a few weeks in Europe this fall competing multiple horses, and they join us to share their experiences of traveling, competing and temporarily living overseas with their horses.

Three champions from the 2016 Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Land Rover (AEC) join us to discuss their whirlwind weekend at the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC). Cindy DePorter first discusses her win in the Master Novice Amateur division with Ana D, followed by Annabelle Kress, who won the Broadstone Junior Beginner Novice 14 and Under division with Susie Beale's adorable Batteries Not Included, and finally Ryan Wood, who was named both champion and reserve champion of the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Advanced, describes his experiences.
