USEA Podcast #339: #TeamTalk on the Road to Paris 2024
Monday Jul 17, 2023
Monday Jul 17, 2023
With less than a year left until the start of the XXXIII Olympic Summer Games in Paris, France in 2024, USEA podcast host Nicole Brown sat down with USEF Eventing Technical Advisor and Chef d'Equipe Bobby Costello to discuss the USEF Land Rover Eventing Team's recent results in the SAP Cup at the CHIO Aachen CCIO4*-S and recapped the season so far.
"There's so much optimism within the program right now," explained Costello on the team's recent success and exciting future. "The optimism that's out there definitely outweighs any kind of pressure or concern. Coming into these competitions, saying 'yeah, we should be coming to these shows being competitive and being competitive enough to be on the podium and having good individual finishes.' It's the attitude, it's the positivity, it's everybody kind of being there for one another and the respect that the riders have for one another, all of those very small, almost intangibles that are hugely important."

"It will do a lot of the things needed to keep you healthy without taking so many pills or all the things that are quick fixes. Movement is difficult. It's difficult to get into your daily practice, but once you do, it is enough medicine that you need to be able to do what you enjoy longer."
